Event Policies

Section 1: Registration and Tickets

 

All tickets and event registrations will take place on our website (www.blackgirlscorner.com). By clicking “Going” “Maybe” or “No” in an event does not register you for a Black Girls Corner event. You must visit the website and purchase your ticket to attend. All event tickets will cover the cost of your meal, taxes, gratuity and any private event fees, unless otherwise stated. If tickets are not purchased on our website, you will not be permitted to attend an event. 

 

Questions regarding events will not be answered via personal messages (Facebook Messenger). Please send us an email at info@blackgirlscorner.com or post your event specific question in the corresponding Facebook event for review and response. Please do not send friend requests to admin to ensure that your messages are seen. Simply send us an email and we’ll get back to you within 48 hours.

 

Section 2: Covid Requirements

 

Before attendance at all Black Girls Corner events, you will need to complete the Covid Questionnaire. Any attendee that misses this requirement will be subject to submitting a negative Covid test before being permitted to attend an event. 

 

  • Please complete the Covid Questionnaire on or before the advertised deadline for the event that you are attending. A link to this questionnaire will be provided in the logistics emails sent at least 72 hours before the event. 

 

  • If you fail to complete the Covid Questionnaire prior to the stated deadline, you will be required to submit a negative Covid test 24 hours before the event in order to attend.

 

  • If you have answered “Yes” to any of the questions in the Questionnaire, you will be required to submit a negative Covid test 24 hours before the event in order to attend. 

 

By purchasing a ticket to attend a Black Girls Corner event, you are agreeing to this policy. If the questionnaire and/or test (if applicable) is not received by the stated deadline before the event, you will not be permitted to attend and you will forfeit all monies received. It is your responsibility to comply with event policies for events that you have registered to attend.

 

Section 3: Transfer of Tickets

 

With our website and electronic ticketing process, we will permit the transfer/sale of tickets purchased to other Black Girls Corner members. Please make every effort to inform us when you have transferred/sold your ticket to an alternate attendee, by sending us an email with the new attendee’s name and contact information (email). 

 

You are responsible for ensuring that the recipient of your ticket receives all official communications. We will continue to communicate with you as the original purchaser of the ticket. 

 

Tickets are not permitted to be sold within 48 hours of an event. At this point all customizations for an event have been completed and we are unable to pivot. If you sell your ticket within this window, your guests will be refused entry on the day of the event.

 

We are not responsible for the validity of the tickets that you have purchased from someone else. 

 

 

Section 4: Attendance at Events

 

All Black Girls Corner events have a start and end time. While we understand that circumstances outside of our control can happen on both ends, we ask that you respect the start time of events. If you arrive more than 60 minutes after the start of an event, depending on where we are hosting that particular event, attendance is not guaranteed. 

 

If you foresee any issues with your arrival time, post a note in the event and let us know that you may be late. With this communication, we can ensure no matter where we are hosting, arrangements can made to ensure you have access.

 

Section 5: Seating at Events

 

At every Black Girls Corner event, seating will be randomly assigned for each participant. The purpose of this group is to get out and meet new people, form new connections and make lifelong friends. Each attendee, outside of the planning committee assigned to the event, will be seated with other women that they may not know, yet. If this is an issue for you, please do not register to attend an event. We will not be providing refunds because “you weren’t aware of this” or “you want to sit with your current friends.”

 

If you arrive to an event and cause a scene about the seating arrangements, you will be asked to leave and all monies paid will be forfeited for the event.

 

Section 6: Communication Prior To and Day Of

 

As mentioned in Section 1, please do not send personal messages (Facebook Messenger) Black Girls Corner admin for event related information. All information should be sent via email to info@blackgirlscorner.com. Black Girls Corner will send an email with Reminders and Logistics starting at least 72 hours prior to all events, a final set of logistics with day of contact information will be sent 24 hours before the event. Please respond to the Reminders and Logistics email that you receive 72 hours prior to the event, to indicate your receipt of the important information contained therein. 

 

If you need to communicate with the hosts or admin on the day of the event, please follow instructions that are provided to you in your Final Logistics email and post in the Facebook event for the event that you are attending. We ask for both to ensure that someone is able to address any issues that you may be experiencing or answer your questions as quickly as possible. 

 

Section 7: Refund Policy

 

All purchases are non-refundable. We are not responsible for your fear of missing out. We are, however, responsible for the contracts that we sign with venues to meet minimum spends and the deposits that we provide to said venues are nonrefundable to us. While we understand that life happens, we will not be issuing refunds or transferring funds between events. 

 

By purchasing a ticket to a Black Girls Corner event, you agree to this policy. Initiating a chargeback with your financial institution will result in your being blocked on all social sites and banned from any future events.

 

Section 8: Changes to Event Policies

 

This is a living document and the policies and guidelines contained within will be updated as necessary and appropriate. Ample notice to all Black Girls Corner members of said updates and changes will be provided.
